New releases have just been confirmed by GW. Let’s see whats on the way for previously limited edition AoS, Warcry, Necromunda, and Blackstone Fortress.
Warhammer Community just let us in on the new releases for this week. Age of Sigmar, Warcry, Necromunda, and Blackstone Fortress are all getting some form of release. Let’s check out what they are exactly!
AoS Limited Edition Characters
You folks have been asking when you can expect to see the Warlock Bombardier, Abhorrant Archregent, Tyrant, Arch-Revenant, Loonboss on Giant Cave Squig and Vokmortian, Master of the Bone Tithe separately, and now, we have an answer – next weekend!
All of these were previous exclusives, so this isn’t the first time we are seeing any of them, but it doesn’t make it any less exciting! All of these models are sweet! Bursting with character and plenty of options for routes to go while painting, if you play these factions be sure to pick them up as it’s sure to be a fun project.
Warcry
More good news for fans of the Mortal Realms – next weekend will see several armies make their way to the Eightpoints in search of glory thanks to new sets of warband cards. Each of these sets contains fighter cards for keeping track of your rules and an abilities card which lets you unleash all sorts of tactical tricks on the battlefield.
These cards are great, they let you play old armies in new ways, and they get more people into warcry! It’s a win-win for everyone without breaking the bank!
What’s more, next weekend will see the release of two hotly anticipated new monster kits – the Fomoroid Crusher and Mindstealer Sphiranx. Each of these sets includes rules and an abilities card for including these monsters in your Warcry games, while for Warhammer Age of Sigmar players, they can be used in Slaves to Darkness armies and allied into many more. Both kits also feature a range of customisation options, meaning if you’re looking to grab a few for your collection, you’ll be able to ensure they each look distinct.
The Mindstealer Sphiranx is also coming out. Not only can this sweet model be played in Warcry with its own unique rules, but it also has pretty different things going on in AoS for any slaves to darkness army you take it with!
The Fomoroid Crusher, much like the Sphiranx, is also a Warcry monster. You can also take him in any Slaves to Darkness AoS army for some terrain-involved rules.
Necromunda: House of Chains
House of Chains is part of a new breed of supplement that acts like a codex or battletome for your gang, bringing you loads of lore, ways to play, unit types, wargear and more that lets you discover and assemble your dream gang – in this case, the hulking Goliaths!
The Goliath Stimmers & Forge-born set is another entry in the range of characterful and customisable Necromunda kits, letting you bring your Gang’s new prospects and most muscular madmen to battle.
I don’t know much about Necromunda, but one thing is for sure. These chunky boys will hit like a truck and can probably take a few punches themselves too. Of course, to match the new models and rules there will be some cards you can pick up to help with getting the rules down faster.
Blackstone Fortress: No Respite
In the No Respite expansion, you’ll not just be battling against the forces of Nurgle, but his plagues too, in a desperate race against time to prevent the spread of decay in this alien labyrinth. Inside, you’ll find a whole new quest, and all the tokens and cards you need to add it to your Blackstone Fortress collection.
Nurgle’s big happy family is invading the Blackstone Fortress ecosystem. Expect some (rather gross) infestation and disease. Blackstone Fortress is getting pretty big now, seeing this addition is great and more are (hopefully) on the way soon!
