Saturday is another big day for GW as it looks like there could be more Necromunda previews incoming, that may have been hidden in plain sight.
In case you missed it, Warhammer Community announced a new preview wave coming this Saturday. With the title of Shadow, Iron, and Broken Realms, we’ve been taking a couple stabs at the content we’ll be seeing get the spotlight. Now, it’s time to explore the possibilities of more Necromunda goods on the way.
Hints Suggest Malerion in Age of Sigmar
Malerion was in our first round of educated guesses. We’ve done a full breakdown on why we could see this guy that you should check out if you haven’t already. However, in essence, this guy’s description pretty much matches up with the main title of the previews.
What does Malerion have to do with shadow and iron? Well, a lot actually. If you do a quick search on the Age of Sigmar Fandom page, you’ll find a lot about this guy including:
When the Shadow King deigns to show himself to others, he often appears as an Aelf of dread aspect, encased in black iron and coiling tendrils of shadow…
Iron and shadow have been covered in that description and obviously, the “Broken Realms” part of this is covered because Age of Sigmar is the only game that uses Realms. So could we be seeing Malerion? It’s possible.
The Title Can Also Be Throwing A Bone to Orlocks in Necromunda
If you’ve been following along with the Necromunda releases, you know that the House of Blades (Escher book and model support) is releasing over the weekend. That pretty much clears the path for the next book that was in the queue for the gangs.
The Orlocks House of Iron book was pushed back a bit due to the whole world facing a global crisis. But now that things are back up and running for GW, it appears that they’re up next in the terms of support. Note that with Escher’s House of Blades support releasing in a few days, it means we’re in Q3. But that also doesn’t mean that we can’t start seeing previews of what’s on the way in Q4!
Also, we’re obviously drawing the possibility of seeing stuff for the House of Iron because the preview title uses “Shadow, Iron, and Broken Realms”.
If the Orlock gang is going to be a part of the GW previews on Saturday, what kind of models and new rules would you like to see them get? Would it make sense to see some kind of armored up transport/suit since they’re the handy postal service of the underhive?
