Did you miss it this weekend? GW put out a Halloween preview of sorts and hinted at a new model for one of the worlds of Warhammer as well.
Warhammer Community made a Halloween post showing off some of the spookier models this year. However, the highlight was a preview of a new Blood Bowl team and a teaser for a brand new unknown model. Let’s check out all we know.
New Blood Bowl Team: Wolfenburg Crypt-Stealers
Finally, there’s the Necromantic Horror team for Blood Bowl. Made up of Zombies, Ghouls, Werewolves, Wraiths, and Flesh Golems, this is a team that will terrify your Tackle Zones, panic your passers, and scare your scrimmage. Lurching their way through the topsoil and onto a Blood Bowl pitch near you soon! Look forward to seeing these guys, alongside the release of the new season of Blood Bowl, this November.
Perfectly on theme with everything you’d expect from a Haloween costume party, these guys will be able to face off in Blood Bowl before too much longer. They announced they will come out some time with the new edition of Blood Bowl. Check out the rest of the models that are on the way for this team in our preview post from August.
A Halloween Rumor Engine
As you can see 2020 has been a pretty spooky year for models, and 2021 is going to be just as good. We’ve already had a look at the terrifying Flayed Ones, and now we’re going to tease one more tantalising glimpse of the future…
There isn’t really much to go off of here, but we can make out some of the shapes. There’s clearly some twigs/branches, a bird, a slight humanoid figure, and some form of pole/staff with iconography on the top. What could it be?
The Sylvaneth Branchwraith model is extremely old and finecast. Updating this model to plastic with the new design philosophies would be awesome. Not to mention, this very clearly has the splinters and branches going on.
Whos to say a nice bird friend couldn’t join in on the model?
