Blood Bowl is revving up for a new edition later in 2020, so check out the Wolfenburg Crypt-stealers team that was also just revealed.
Warhammer Community revealed the Wolfenburg Crypt-stealers team coming to Blood Bowl. Over the past few days, we’ve seen a ton of light shed on the new edition of Blood Bowl as well as a new starter box featuring two teams. Now, it’s time to look at these spooky bois up close.
Blood Bowl Getting Spooky: New Wolfenburg Cryp-Stealers Team
Spooky Wolfenburg Crypt-Stealers Blood Bowl Team
Necromancers are assembling their players into new teams as we speak – tired of spending all their time in musty tombs and dank burrows. They’d like a shot at glory just like anyone else, and Blood Bowl is a fantastic way to put their dark magic to use for fun and profit. They’ve raised their teams and are now ready to unleash their horrors on a pitch near you!
The Wolfenburg Crypt-stealers are probably one of the most colorful and unique Blood Bowl teams we’ve ever seen. If you’re a fan of the classic horrors like Frankenstein and Night of the Living Dead, this team might be perfect for you.
RIP to the Gwaka’moli Crater Gators going against them.
Now that we’ve got the teaser out of the way, we’ve pulled a few of the team’s models out as part of some highlights. They’re absolutely decked-out in detail.
A Closer Look at the Team
Necromancers often hire Werewolves to liven up their teams, calling upon ancient pacts and promising them plenty of fresh meat – as long as the wizards get to keep the bones.
Meanwhile, Flesh Golems have long been, ahem, a ‘staple’ of Necromantic teams, adding their custom-built combination of strength and unnatural resilience to the team’s line of scrimmage.
That’s not all – Necromancers have begun to call not just upon the bodies of the dead, but the spirits of the damned too!
It’s important to note that of the previews for the The Bogenhafen Barons and Black Orcs team, we’ve seen their Star Players/Leaders. For the Crypt-stealers however, there’s not been anyone given the title of “leader”. We’re not sure if we’ll see a head Necromancer also grace the fields or if this is just going to be a shambling team that the Necromancer said “go have fun” to. But with the third team revealed within a week, Blood Bowl is looking more exciting than ever!
What do you think about the models in this team? How are you going to paint them up? What in the world could a ghost be useful for in a game of Blood Bowl?
