Sideshow is Hosting Frank Frazetta Day 2022!

By Travis Pasch | February 9th, 2022 | Categories: Uncategorized

Frank Frazetta Day featureOn February 9th, his birthday, Sideshow will be hosting Frank Frazetta Day 2022 with giveaways, contests, and a tour through the museum!

If you love fantasy or sci-fi, you have probably been influenced by Frazetta! He was one of the original artists who really brought a lot of the ideas to life and made so many amazing pieces. He created some of the most iconic imagery of the 20th century, so if you’ve never heard of him before, you need to check out his work!

Even Warhammer was pretty obviously influenced by what he created. His most well-known piece is Death Dealer or Conan, but he did so much more than that!

So to celebrate the late artist they will be hosting a really cool day, on his birthday February 9th, to show off his work, give some prints away and take us on a tour through the Frazetta Museum. They will also host live streaming events featuring painters, his children, and a game based on his work.

If you want to see the full schedule and how to enter the giveaway, you can here! Let’s take a closer look at what’s happening.

Death Dealer in Warhammer

death dealer 2If this doesn’t look familiar, we’re not sure where you’ve been! He’s done many iterations of this painting, but this one is probably the most recognizable. Not only has it inspired so much (including being the official mascot of the US Army III corps), but Games Workshop actually made a mini directly based on this!

death dealerHmmm… look familiar? Obviously, but hey, who doesn’t want this in their Chaos army? We sure do!

It’s just always cool to see people remembering such an amazing sci-fi and fantasy painter all these years later.
