Glasshammer GT #8: Top 40k Army Lists
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.
3rd Place: Sam Nash – Custodes
2nd Place: Aaron Mosquera – Tyranids
1st Place: Vik Vijay – Eldar
Vik’s Eldar list is a 2 detachment approach with the first being an outrider led by Baharroth, a fast named character with great melee power and a good ranged weapon. Elites bring in 20 Dire Avengers for decent bodies to sit on objectives.
Fast Attacks start off with 20 Swooping hawks, great mobile units that can pick off any stragglers. There are also 18 Windriders for even more mobility and 3 Shining Spears which deal a ton of damage on a ton of their great mobility.
The second detachment is a patrol led by a Farseer Skyrunner and a normal Farseer. These offer great psychic support with the Skyrunner adding a touch of mobility.
Troops keep it simpler with 5 Rangers, a very cheap squad just to fill the requirement.
Elites bring in 6 Dire avengers for some decent bodies along with 5 Howling Banshees which excel in melee.
Fast attacks bring in 2 Vypers for a few more mobile models and the list closes out with a single Wave Serpent to bring a unit to the front lines.
