Top 40k Army Lists: Blood Angels Storm US Open Kansas City
Thanks to Best Coast Pairings, we can look back at the event as if we were all there ourselves.
3rd Place: Mani Cheema – Thousand Sons
2nd Place: Brent Simon – Chaos Daemons
1st Place: Zaak Kerstetter – Blood Angels
Zaak’s winning Blood Angels went all in on melee power. He had two detachments, with the first being a patrol led by Dante and Lemartes. Dante is a fantastic solo model while also bringing great buffs and mobility to the table. Lemartes is one of the best litany support pieces available to the faction.
Troops keep it at the minimum of Incursors, while Elites bring in 10 Death Company with jetpacks and 8 Thunder hammers.
The second detachment is a Vanguard led by a lone Sanguinary priest, a great mobile body with decent melee and ranged power.
Then jumping straight into elites again, there are five more Death Company with Jump packs to add a few more mobile bodies that want nothing but to charge in. There is also a Sanguinary Ancient to help out the 21 Sanguinary Guard, all of which have great range weapons, melee weapons, and mobility to boot.
They are, in many ways, an all-in-one threat.
Then fast attack wanted a few more jump pack bodies, so there are 6 Assault Marines joining in the action.
Closing out the list is three Eliminators to help pick off characters and a Whirlwind to help with chaff units downrange!
