Final Two Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols: What’s the Value?

Is-this-Worth-It-&-ValueHere are the final two Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols value and pricing breakdowns for the Leagues of Votann and Agents of the Imperium!

These are sort of like small Combat Patrol boxes explicitly made to be fielded for the new Boarding Actions. So, expect them all to have a lot of foot sloggers.

This is the final wave of Boarding Patrol box sets we’ve seen so far, and while the Space Marines one sells for $110, we know they will not all go for the same price as the Chaos and Tyranids boxes that were $125 and some have reached into the $140 price point, and these are going for the $140 price point.

Final Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols Have Great Value

There’s much profit to be found in the esoteric salvage secreted aboard these rotting void-barges – and you can acquire it for the glory of your own Hold with five cybernetically-enhanced Cthonian Beserks, five diamond-hard Einhyr Hearthguard, and 10 geared-up Hearthkyn Warriors, all led by a proud Einhyr Champion.

  • 5 Cthonian Beserks $60
  • 5 Einhyr Hearthguard $60
  • 10 Hearthkyn Warriors $60
  • Einhyr Champion $40

Total MSRP: $220

Savings versus $140 box price: $80

Is the Leagues of Votann Boarding Patrol Worth it?

Well, first, this goes for $140, which makes sense as it has the exact same value as the Sisters of Battle Boarding Patrol box. Honestly, this is pretty worth it, as $80 in value is always nice, but the units inside are also worthwhile!

If you just bought the army box, this will get you a good mix of units, you’ll need to add on some vehicles and maybe a few more bikes, but then you’re good to go!

Imperial Agents Boarding Patrol Retail Price: $140

Warhammer 40k Boarding Patrols value

Appropriately enough, this hefty Boarding Patrol is all about the Imperial Navy. It contains a whopping 20 Imperial Navy Breachers, who can be built as a variety of specialists and gunners, or with a standard combat shotgun and hatchet. They are led by the 10 members of the Elucidian Starstriders – a Cartographica Rogue Trader, her personal entourage, a squad of Voidsmen, and a loyal Canid.

  • 20 Imperial Navy Breachers $120 (a box of 10 runs for $60)
  • Elucidian Starstriders $60
  • Eversor Assassin $40

Total MSRP: $220

Savings versus $140 box price: $80

Is the Imperial Agents Boarding Patrol Worth it?

Again, this has the exact same amount of value inside (as GW finally confirmed the Assassin), so it only made sense for this to go for the $140 price point.

However, you get 31 models inside, which is a lot, and those Kill Team boxes are always expensive, so it’s nice to be able to grab something for cheaper. This is also just a cool box, as the units are hard to get on GW’s site, considering some have been sold out for a long time.
