GW Announces New 40k Campaign & Free Minis For a Year

free rules new minatures games workshop warhammer wal hor marine giftGW just announced the Battle for Oghram, a new campaign for Warhammer 40k, and a giveaway to get free minis for an entire year!

This goes back to the days of old when you actually sent in your results to GW to decide the fate of the campaign. However, this is only for the Leviathan box, so just Nids and Space Marines will compete. Then, GW promises that whatever faction wins the campaign will get new miniatures first over the other one.

Just like we saw in the past with Necrons, and the Death Guard from the last two starters, this means there are more new minis for both factions to be seen!

On top of that, you can win every single release GW puts out this year (until the end of December!) To enter, it looks like all you have to do is log a battle to be entered (we’ll check out the terms).

Here is the latest information about the Battle For Oghram courtesy of Warhammer Community.

New 40k Campaign

Pre-order the Leviathan boxed set this Saturday and among the stacks of miniatures inside you’ll find a special single-use code to join the Battle for Oghram. This is your invitation to fight for the fate of the planet, and earn the victorious faction priority access to exciting new reveals in the next Warhammer 40,000 preview.

Once the campaign begins on the 26th of June, you’ll have 13 days to muster your forces, and log the results of your first game playing the new edition. Your epic victory or crushing defeat will help decide whether the world survives the xenos onslaught or falls to the might of Hive Fleet Leviathan.

So, each person can only log one battle, and it will only be open for 13 days, which means you have to get painting quickly (or at least build). This also means you have to buy Leviathan to enter the competition, but so many people will be buying that we don’t think this will be an issue.

New 40k Campaign 2

Both the Space Marines and the Tyranids still have plenty of new miniatures waiting to be unveiled, and the winning faction will have all of their upcoming releases shown off first.

You will have the chance to win every single one of these new and unseen reinforcements when you take part in the global battle – no matter which side you fight for.

So, it’s nice to see that there are more models still waiting to be revealed for both forces and if you want yours first, you better get out there and win some games! Obviously, both will be revealed, but it’s always better to see yours first.

Last but not least, you can win every single mini they are planning on releasing this year! But there are some terms and conditions to this, with the good news being that it will be a maximum of $6250 in miniatures.

New 40k Campaign 3Unfortunately, if you are in a few states or countries, you will not be eligible, so it’s good to know before you get your hopes up. Sorry New York, Florida and Rhode Island.

New 40k Campaign 5Check out that estimate of the prize pool of over $6250 MSPR! That is an enormous amount of kits!

New 40k Campaign 6Interestingly, you will get the Battleforce box sets, but it makes sense you don’t get resin or metal kits. Lastly, this gives you a full half-year of releases!

Check out the latest Warhammer 40k rumors for the rest of the 9th and even 10th Edition, new releases, and more!
