Infinity N4 Rules Get Updated to Version 2.0!

By Travis Pasch | June 7th, 2023 | Categories: Infinity, Warhammer 40k Rumors

new-corvus-belli-rules-infinity-the-game-2.0Corvus Belli just dropped a new 2.0 version of the Infinity N4 rules that consolidate all the rules and update them into one package!

They had multiple places for rules before, like the annex document, but now you can get them all in one spot! Not only are they consolidating the rules, but they are also making wording changes, modifications, and more to make the rules better than ever.

They also put in a ton of clarifications that people had questions about, so sort of like an FAQ as well. Let’s take a closer look at the announcement from Corvus Belli.

Infinity N4 Rules Get Updated to Version 2.0!

The development team has worked hard to create a document that combines both the annex document (which included certain special rules as well as Fireteams) and various issues derived from the FAQ, as well as to correct errata in the document.

In addition, modifications have also been made to the wording, such as incorporating the clarification of whether an Dodge Roll opposes an Attack of Berserk; how the exchange of Attribute values in Saving Rolls interacts with Bioimmunity or incorporating the explanation of Impetuous Movement that was determined through the FAQ.

Having the rules in one place is always nice, so we would be fine with it even if they didn’t update the rules. However, with all these new updates, the rules should be much more concise than before.

A clear change in wording can be found, for example, in the explanation of Loss of Lieutenant, clarifying that it does not apply if the Lieutenant is on the board even in the form of a Marker, putting an end to doubts about whether this situation occurred when deploying the Lieutenant in camouflage, for example.

We have also taken the opportunity to incorporate clarifications with skills that previously had no interaction between them, such as Hidden Deployment and Holoprojector or how works skills with some MOD, such as Mnemonica and Lieutenants with the +1 Order MOD or Neurocinetics with MOD to B.

It’s good to see them keeping up with the rules so much, and we’ll have to see how the game plays with all the new stuff!
