Here is the latest on the Disciples of Tzeentch rules for the 4th Edition Age of Sigmar from Warhammer Community.Tzeentch, one of the Great Gods of Chaos since before the Age of Myth, is the ultimate puppet master. Known as the Architect of Fate, he’s the god of change, ambition, and magic.

His loyal followers, the Disciples of Tzeentch, are a motley crew of daemons and mortals as twisted as the Lord of Flux himself. When Tzeentch calls, giggling, shapeless daemons burst into reality, setting everything ablaze in a whirlwind of change. Mortal followers drop their magical facades to fight with bird-like mutants, unleashing spectacular magical fireworks and ensuring destiny unfolds just as Tzeentch planned.

Battle Traits

Disciples of Tzeentch Rules 2As devout followers of the Architect of Fate, the Disciples of Tzeentch have a knack for tilting the odds in their favor. They’re led by the Masters of Destiny, who can bend reality to pull off the perfect outcomes even in the most dire situations.

Thanks to Destiny Dice (you get nine because that’s Tzeentch’s favorite number), you can swap out your dice rolls—from casting spells to saving throws—making sure your delicate sorcerers can dodge attacks and hit back with a vengeance.

Tapping into the Conflagration of Tzeentch, these powerful wizards can unleash Burning Wyrdflame, a sinister fire that mutates its victims rather than just burning them to a crisp. Enemies hit by certain nasty spells and attacks get the BURNING keyword, meaning they might suffer mortal damage at the end of each turn.

This technicolor blaze only fizzles out on a D3 roll of one, but those with healing abilities can also try to Quench the Flames.

Battle Formations

With almost unlimited transformative mojo, the Disciples of Tzeentch can duke it out in more ways than you can shake a wand at. To keep things simple in Warhammer Age of Sigmar, they’ve got four nifty Battle Formations in their Faction Pack.

The Wyrdflame Host is particularly spicy, raining down a Mutagenic Inferno on their enemies. Picture your foes writhing and squirming as mutations pop up all over their bodies, making them worse at landing blows by subtracting one from their Wound rolls.

Arcana & Incantations

Choosing the mutative Lore of Change gives your wizards some wicked new spells, including the cheeky Transformed to Spawn spell, which morphs enemies into a gibbering, tentacle-waving Chaos Spawn of Tzeentch.

In the latest edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar, summoning new units out of thin air is out the window. Instead, it’s all about recycling your fallen units with cool abilities. The Chaos Spawn of Tzeentch is perfect for this, as it starts in reserves and can be thrown straight into the fray by the Transformed to Spawn spell.

When your Chaos Spawn gets taken down by its former buddies, don’t fret. You can use the same spell to bring it back to life. Usually, you can only replace destroyed units once per battle, but the Chaos Spawn of Tzeentch breaks the rules. Thanks to its Waves of Mutation ability, it can keep coming back for more, over and over again.

Alternatively, if you go with the Lore of Fate, your casters can peek into the future with spells that interact with your pool of destiny dice, giving you new ways to manage your re-rolls and keep your enemies guessing.

Kairos Fateweaver

Few can grasp the mind-bending schemes of the Changer of the Ways like Kairos Fateweaver, Tzeentch’s two-headed right-hand daemon. One head has perfect recall of everything that’s ever happened, while the other sees the future with crystal-clear precision. This leaves Kairos a bit fuzzy on the present, but as the Oracle of Eternity, he uses his powers to twist the game’s rules and nail those crucial battle tactics.

But Kairos isn’t just a rules lawyer. He’s a powerhouse of sorcery, boosting friendly casting and unbinding rolls within his magical aura. His Mastery of Magic lets him tweak his own spellcasting results, ensuring he gets the best outcomes. And with a dash of Arcane Suggestion, he can make his enemies throw in the towel and drop their weapons.

Gaunt Summoners

Disciples of Tzeentch Rules 7

The nine Gaunt Summoners running the show at the Silver Towers are some of Tzeentch’s most formidable minions. These guys harness the reality-bending power of their crystalline fortresses to bring both daemonic and mortal followers straight into the fray.

The Silver Tower minions can hang out in these magical citadels, zipping through space and time to hit the battlefield the moment the Gaunt Summoner cracks open their Book of Profane Secrets. They can boost their teleportation game even further by casting Divert Realmgate, which lets them spit out units farther away and right up in the enemy’s face.

Curseling

Disciples of Tzeentch Rules 8

If a mortal strikes a deal with Tzeentch for some juicy forbidden knowledge, they might find themselves transformed into a Curseling. This means they’ll have a creepy little homunculus called a Tretchlet sprouting from their body. With its pallid skin and rainbow feathers, this Tretchlet becomes their personal puppet master, filling their head with Tzeentch’s mix of truths and lies.

This little creature isn’t just for show, either. It’s a Disrupter of the Arcane, messing with enemy spellcasters by siphoning off their magical energy. Talk about a major arcane headache for your foes!

Pink Horrors

Tzeentch has a whole zoo of daemons, but the most plentiful are the prismatic Horrors, who prance across the battlefield, babbling nonsense and shooting wyrdflame from their freaky long fingers. Pink Horrors are the biggest and baddest of the bunch. When they bite the dust, their Lunatic Demise ability kicks in, letting them either split into Blue Horrors to reinforce nearby units or explode in a fiery burst, dealing mortal damage to enemies.

These new Blue Horrors can only join existing units of Blue Horrors or Brimstone Horrors. Starting with 10 Blue Horrors, these units gain Brimstone Horrors as the casualties pile up. When Blue Horrors die, they might turn into Brimstone Horrors, splitting into a pair of flickering imps that swarm the enemy, trying to burn them to a crisp.
