The Custodes, an already elite force of the Imperium called in a helping hand from the Mechanicus. And they showed support in the form of high-toughness and some serious backfield firepower.
Jumping in, a Contemptor Achillus Dread posed in mid-stride was a serious melee lynchpin for the army. And if you look at the model itself, even the darksteel halberd has some incredible highlighting detail in the blade.
A few Aquilon Terminators also hit the field with their solarite gauntlets. If you think power fists are bad, you haven’t gone up against a squad of these guys. They can quite literally crumple a Knight like a piece of paper if they get into combat.
As for the Knights of the list, they opted for the smaller class of war machines to help cover a more broad footprint. A single Warglaive led a detachment of Helverins to battle.
The Helverins stood in the backline and pelted enemy units with 3-flat damage autocannons while being guarded by the Warglaive from any deepstrikers. And great job on the painting and basing details!
