White Dwarf magazine unveils the Bunker, which aims to be a worldwide wargaming club for Warhammer hobbyists!
The people down at White Dwarf have really come up with something really special with this latest change to their magazine. This big change will be live on July 21st, 2023, and will known as White Dwarf: Bunker.
Now for those of you concerned, fear not. This won’t be replacing any of their pre-existing content, so Battle Reports and Tale of Four Warlords are safe.
So without further ado, let’s go ahead and storm right into the bunker and see what this is all about.
It’s Time to Enter The Bunker; White Dwarf Shakes up Their Formula!
The latest on White Dwarf Bunker comes from Warhammer Community.
Before the Bunker took shape, we started thinking about what it would look like if White Dwarf ran a Warhammer club. We immediately realised that if we did it, it would have the chance of being the biggest Warhammer club in the world thanks to our huge audience. And it could be the best Warhammer club in the world since White Dwarf is embedded in the Warhammer Studio, and that allows us to closely collaborate with the Studio teams to generate official Warhammer content for the Bunker.
So to sum that up, White Dwarf Bunker is set to be an immensely interactive part of their magazine. They’ve talked about all of the cool features they want to incorporate as part of this new addition, like hobby challenges and different skirmish-related content and leagues.
Alongside that, they also have painting and tactical guides to help all the aspiring wargamers out there.
You can also score points for every Bunker scenario you play, every club event you take part in, every unit you paint for a club event, and so on. Every issue of White Dwarf will come with a challenge tracker card, and by taking part in these activities you can earn points and rank up from Trooper to Castellan, then share your rank and score online with your friends and in your local satellite club.
In addition to the ranking system they’ve set up for you to show off your challenge participation, you might even get a chance to have your minis bathe in the spotlight as they show off the best of the best for each challenge in the next issue.
