1st Place: Gustavo José Branco Varandas de Sousa – Imperial Guard / Astra Militarum Army Lists

Gustavo rolled into the Sheffield Super Major with a list that screamed “For the Emperor!” and whispered “We brought enough tanks to flatten a Warlord Titan, just in case.” The Astra Militarum isn’t known for subtlety, and this list didn’t bother pretending otherwise.

The command structure looks like it was drafted straight from a Munitorum recruitment poster. Cadian Command Squad? Check. Tempestus Command Squad? Present. Ursula Creed? Oh yes—back with more orders than a Ministorum can sermonize in a month.

And just to make sure nobody gets too comfortable, there’s a Rogal Dorn Commander parked in his steel behemoth, barking orders through vox systems and twin battle cannons alike. One unit of Cadian Shock Troops holds the line with practiced precision. Two squads of Catachan Jungle Fighters lurk in the foliage—or whatever counts as foliage on a battlefield riddled with craters.

Then there’s the Death Korps of Krieg. Two units. Staring down the battlefield like it personally insulted their trench.

For those wondering if this army moves or just waits to be charged: two Tauroxes and a Chimera handle transport duties, making sure some of those boots get to the right objective in one piece. These vehicles aren’t just taxis, either—they’ll chip in with some firepower once the passengers disembark.

Now for the heat: a Hellhound ready to incinerate anything hiding in cover, and two Leman Russ battle tanks that roll up like they own the battlefield—and shoot like they paid for it in plasma. These aren’t fragile glass cannons; they’re armored bricks with enough firepower to make Chaos Lords reconsider their life choices.

Kasrkin units bring a dose of elite precision, marching up the board with enough training, equipment, and sheer bravado to challenge units twice their price tag. When regular guardsmen take notes, it’s usually because the Kasrkin are showing them how it’s done.

A squad of Scions rounds out the force—dropping in, grabbing points, hitting flanks. Think of them as Imperial Guard with extra caffeine and better gear.
