2nd Place: Jon Camacho – Adeptus Custodes Army Lists

Let’s be real—when the Adeptus Custodes hit the tabletop, it’s less “Who brought a knife to a gunfight?” and more “Who brought the golden demigods with dreadnoughts bigger than your car?” At the recent Geek Shack GT, Jon strutted into second place with an Adeptus Custodes army list that didn’t just flex—it flexed so hard it bent the meta slightly.

Let’s talk centerpieces. Two Telemon Heavy Dreadnoughts are leading the list. These aren’t your average armored brutes—they’re walking fortresses with firepower that makes anything short of a Titan feel inadequate. They’re tough, accurate, and pack the kind of guns that end arguments before they start.

You want to hold a point? Good luck. The Telemons are already there, sipping their golden tea and deleting threats like they’re clearing their inbox.

Backing them up: two Caladius Grav-tanks. Sleek, fast, and keeping things strictly long-range. These bad boys gave up the melee brawl to focus on fire support, filling the air with searing death while zipping across the board like golden sharks. Less punch-you-in-the-face, more melt-your-face-from-across-the-board.

Of course, no Custodes force would be complete without some flexibility—and Jon’s list brings it in the form of another Telemon and three Contemptor Dreadnoughts. That’s six big, angry, armor-clad nightmares stomping around the table. It’s not just overkill. It’s a message.

“But wait,” you say, “what about objectives?” Enter the Prosecutors and Witchseekers. Light on points, decent enough to hold ground, and just enough presence to make you think twice before ignoring them. They may not be flashy, but they get the job done without getting in the way of the main event.

And because every good story needs assassins, Jon brought two of the Imperium’s sneakiest: a Culexus and a Callidus. Between denying psychic powers and popping up where they’re least wanted, these two are the kind of guests that ruin your party and kick your dog on the way out.
