1st Place: David Hall – Chaos Daemons (Demons) Army Lists
David walked into The Alamo GT with a plan so simple it hurt: bring the biggest, meanest daemons in the Warp, throw them at the problem, and let the battlefield sort itself out.
Subtle? No. Effective? Oh yes.
Leading the charge was Be’lakor, the original edgy chaos icon with a sword as dramatic as his backstory. Skarbrand followed close behind, shouting something incoherent and then ripping entire units apart just to prove a point.
If anything survives that, a Bloodthirster usually finishes the job by crashing in like a nightmare made of axes and bad intentions.
Then there’s the Great Unclean One. Less flashy, more sturdy, and full of plague. It’s a walking biohazard that takes hits like a champion and smells like victory mixed with compost.
A Lord of Change added a bit of psychic spice and tactical options, while still being a giant bird-demon that throws fire and sass in equal measure.
Troops were here to do what troops often do in Daemon lists: stand on things and look gross. A unit of Nurglings squatted on objectives, oozing defiance.
Pink Horrors tossed some warpflame around and multiplied just enough to be annoying. Plaguebearers stood there, refused to fall over, and generally made anyone trying to push them off objectives deeply regret their life choices.
The support cast? Short but effective. One lonely Beast of Nurgle slimed its way onto the field, not fast, not coordinated, but definitely hard to get rid of. Flamers rounded it out, bringing some much-needed volume firepower for clearing out screens and giving anyone too close a literal taste of the Warp.
