Hello everyone! Brandon here from GMM Studios with a little blast from the past.
This is Flashback Friday, where I revisit old armies I have painted from the past. I have painted thousands of models and who knows how many huge armies on commission, and each one holds a special place in my heart.
A little sweat, a lot of love, and some collaboration with another person and who knows what you can create!
Another Friday, another batch of Titans! This time it is a trio of Titans for an existing army – the “Knights Haemophage” army a ways back. These are themed around a corrupted Blood Angels army.
Some aerial views of the carapace. It took a while but highlighting the trim was very rewarding.
That’s one big claw!
The bases are also cut board and covered with putty that was all hand carved stone.
Gimme a kiss!
An interior shot of the Reaver. Reaver’s are nice in that with only two magnets the entire torsos holds together but also slides apart again for transport.
Now for the Warhounds! I wanted to be fairly dynamic with the poses since there are two of them – they needed to stand out from each other a bit. Nothing is worse than spending all the time, money and effort on a Titan and then having a boring straight up and down pose!
More of the stone effect on the bases. Again it did take a while, but I think it was worth it, since they now match the army and the stone mausoleum look fits the theme.
That’s it for this week! Check in next Friday for more trips down memory lane. Always feel free to follow on twitter or facebook if you prefer. Thanks for reading!
