RUMORS: More On December’s 40k Psychic Awakening

By Rob Baer | October 28th, 2019 | Categories: Blood Angels, Warhammer 40k, Warhammer 40k Rumors

Blood angels wal horBlood Angels have been at the center of a few Psychic Awakening rumors lately. Check out the latest on what may be next for them in 40k!

Psychic Awakening is moving beyond the Aeldari and into the other rumored factions to be getting support. While at first Blood Angels didn’t look to be on the rumor radar, now with word of a Primaris Mephiston and more out there, more sources have things to say.

Remember when you are reading this that last year Chapter Approved 2018 came out on the same weekend as the first Vigilus supplement.

Rumors of Battleforces December Product Pricing

There is a massive chart of rumored GW releases that was spotted recently, and now, we’ve got a first look at the prices of the items ahead. Check out the pricing for the releases hitting store shelves on December 7th But remember these are still just RUMORS. Take everything with a pinch of salt.

December 7 rumor product pricing

Coming from @wagamingdave, it looks like some sort of pricing has been revealed for what’s ahead. Just as much as the products themselves are rumors, so are the prices. However, going off of what some of the more recent GW releases have been, these price points may be surprisingly accurate.

Some heavy hitters in this list are the Battleforces, possibly a new Mephiston (following the usual Primaris Named Character pricing of $40), and Chapter Approved/ Psychic Awakening: Blood of Baal.

Psychic Awakening Rumors: Blood Angels Get Their Own Book

Blood Angels hor wal

In the same way that the Aeldari got their book that had updated datasheets, new rules, etc. the more sources are saying the Blood Angels will follow suit. According to an Industry Insider:

The Sons of Sanguinius are coming soon in Psychic Awakening: Blood of Baal (Original title eh?), and Mephy crosses the river too.

Overall, it would make sense for GW to pick up where they left off for the Blood Angels. With massive numbers culled from their ranks after the Tyranids had a party on the homeworld, it will be interesting to see where they spin the faction next. Keep in mind that this still coincides with earlier rumors from  Kikasstou on B&C, he gave some possible (very) good insight on what’s ahead:

  • This will be themed around Blood Angels and Tyranids (probably picking up from the events of the Devastation of Baal).
  • Mephiston is supposed to be getting a new Primaris model.

Boy oh boy it would be a mortal wound for GW to pass over the Blood Angels’ chief Librarian. Especially in an expansion called Psychic Awakening. What do you think lies ahead in the coming months? With all these rumors of new Sons of Sanguinius, do you think we will see Blood Angels support before the year is over?
