new bloodbowlBack in 2019, we heard the first rumors of a Blood Bowl 3 game that left everyone guessing, and now it looks like it’s been confirmed!

Back in 2019, we saw a random Blood Bowl video game preview with a quote that mentioned Blood Bowl 3. At that time, nobody heard anything about a new Blood Bowl ever being released. Some thought it was a typo, others thought that something really was coming. With these pics popping up over the web, it looks like we’ve got another new rule set to learn coming up soon!

Nurgle Blood BowlThis is a direct quote from the Cyanide (the BB Video game developers) that started this ball rolling… just so everyone is caught up.

Cyanide is also pleased to announce a new partnership has been signed for the third edition of Blood Bowl, the iconic game from Games Workshop. Blood Bowl 3 will coincide with the release of the new paper edition in 2020, which is being revamped with all-new game rules. More information about Blood Bowl 3 will be shared in the coming months.

Rumors Are True: Blood Bowl 3 Confirmed!

blood bowl 3Spotted on the Blood Bowl Community FB page, we’re able to lay eyes on a new edition of Blood Bowl which also looks to be coming with a possible new starter box. Sure it could be a hoax, but this looks pretty well done to be anything but real.

The Bogenhafen Barons Team Spotted!

blood bowl 3 2There’s a new Imperial team on the way called The Bogenhafen Barons. Their colors look like gold, white, and purple. We’re not sure if this is the whole team but eight models probably mean they’re a “middle of the road” team. Not too tanky but won’t roll over for anyone like the Halflings.

blood bowl 3 4Finally, we’ve got a nice look at the back of the book showing the new Warhammer logo as well as what the book’s pages are all about! After seeing all of this, there doesn’t look to be an official date for Blood Bowl 3 yet. Using the quote from Cyanide, the last we heard about Blood Bowl 3 was that it was scheduled sometime in 2020.

What do you think about Blood Bowl getting an overhaul sometime in 2020? What’s your favorite team to play?
