Back when Codex: Inquisition was released I decided my inquisitor and his retinue would need it’s own transport. Checkout the 6×6!
I picked up a chimera from my local store, ordered the Chapterhouse six wheel conversion and the Forge World Chimera door and icons.
While everything turned out well the project proved to be quite a chore.
The Forgeworld rear door was beautiful. The casting was very clean and it fit well. A quick wash really brings out the detailed lettering.
To make room for the Inquisition icon I had to move the driver’s hatch to the side. The icon is more narrow than the hatch. As a result, I had to use a lot of putty and sanding to fill in the gap.
I’ve never liked the standard lasgun array on the chimera. It always looks like a ridiculous method of defending a vehicle. I thought that standard fire points would be far more effective. A bit of work and a few bits and the lasgun array no longer looks like a hedgehog.
The Chapterhouse kit did not fit like a glove. It took a great deal of hard work and modification to get a good clean fit. In fact, most of the rivets you see below had to be shaved off and replaced later.
I also tend to find the standard Inquisitorial paint schemes to be a bit too high contrast. I imagine them getting picked off first in the heat of battle. The paint scheme I chose was for an urban environment.
