Updated November 22nd, 2024, by Rob Baer with the Warhammer Day Reveal for Emperor’s Children coming in 2025!

Warhammer 40k 2025 RoadmapWelcome to the latest chapter in the grand, never-ending saga of the 41st Millennium—a place where the grimdark meets the downright absurd, and every faction has a vendetta that’s older than most planets. The latest Nova Open previews for Warhammer 40k bring us everything from the stoic resilience of the Astra Militarum to the elegant menace of the Aeldari, all topped off with some tantalizing whispers of Chaos.

Nova Open Previews: What’s Next For Warhammer in 2025

The Aeldari, Astra Militarum, and Imperial Knights are gearing up for fresh codex releases in early 2025, and let’s just say—things are about to get wild on the battlefield. Well, maybe? *Technically, this is what they did say about the new Aeldari and Imperial Knights, which may not mean codex books perce. However, we assume most hobbyists are expecting them, as the Nova Open teasers were a bit light on content…

Krieg’s finest aren’t the only ones to receive new aspects of their army in plastic, and so the next faction to swoop into stores will be the Aeldari. And with so many Xenos threatening the Imperium, it’s only right that the noble Imperial Knights will be striding out to meet them on the field of battle soon afterwards.

If this roadmap isn’t enough to satiate your Warhammer needs, be sure to check out our “living roadmap” with all the unreleased Warhammer 40k miniatures and rumors so far!

Astra Militarum Codex: The Might of the Imperium Expands With Death Korps of Krieg

Revealed at Nova Open 2024, the Death Korps of Krieg will be getting a “Full Release” in 2025 starting off the new year. For fans, this update means you’ll finally get to field a fully plastic army that looks as gritty as their lore suggests. The Death Korps aren’t just any regiment—they’re the ones who make trench warfare look like a leisurely stroll through the park.

Expect lots of mud, masks, and melancholic reflections on the futility of existence, all backed up by an impressive array of artillery that would make even the most hardened Ork Warboss think twice. This is the Astra Militarum at its most stoic, ready to prove once again that quantity is a quality all its own. We’ve been hearing rumors about this for months; go check out all the latest rumors here!

Aeldari: The Ghosts of the Past Return

Asurmen Aeldari Aspect Warriors

Aeldari will be getting Aspect warriors with new sculpts to “round out the line” in early 2025 (and what we assume will be a new codex book as well.) With new units and updates on the horizon, they’re ready to strike fear—or at least mild concern—into the hearts of their enemies.

Asurmen, the first Aeldari Phoenix Lord, has arrived looking more majestic than ever. The new miniature captures the gravitas of this ancient warrior while showing off the cutting-edge design that only millennia of practice can bring.

Swooping Hawks

The most graceful Phoenix Lord, Baharroth, soars onto the battlefield with his updated miniature that screams “precision and power.” Known as the fastest of the Phoenix Lords, Baharroth pairs speed with deadly efficiency, cutting through foes with his blade and devastating lasblasts.

Tons of new Aeldari miniatures are swooping into 10th Edition Warhammer 40k, including Phoenix Lords, Aspect Warriors, and codex rules! We’ve been hearing rumors about this for months; go check out all the latest here!

Imperial Knights: Titans on the Horizon

Imperial knights wal horThe Imperial Knights are striding onto the battlefield with the grace of a wrecking ball, ready to remind everyone that size does, indeed, matter. These towering behemoths are the epitome of nobility—nobility that comes with a side of enormous chainswords and artillery that could level a city block. Whether you’re a fan of the classic knightly virtues or just enjoy the idea of piloting a walking fortress, the new updates promise to bring even more firepower and customization to your army.

Each Knight is a walking, stomping tribute to the glory of the Imperium, complete with banners, livery, and enough armor plating to make a Land Raider blush. And let’s not forget the pilots—these aren’t your run-of-the-mill soldiers. No, these are noble houses, each with its own history of heroism, betrayal, and more drama than a high-stakes episode of “The Real Housewives of Terra.”

Chaos Rumors: Whispers from the Warp

chaos daemons hor walChaos is always lurking in the shadows, and the latest whispers from the Warp suggest something big is brewing. Of course, when it comes to Chaos, “big” could mean anything from a new named Daemon Prince to a literal tear in the fabric of reality. The rumors are tantalizing, hinting at new powers and perhaps even new factions joining the eternal struggle against the Imperium.

For Chaos players, this is both exciting and terrifying—because with Chaos, you never know if you’re going to get a shiny new toy or accidentally summon a Greater Daemon that eats half your army. But that’s the thrill of Chaos, isn’t it? The promise of ultimate power, with just a tiny, insignificant risk of complete annihilation.

Emperor's Children 2025

In October 2024, Emperor’s Children were revealed to finally be coming to Warhammer 40k, but for now, the exact lineup, like most of the other factions in the article, is purely speculation.

Let’s talk about the Emperor’s Children and what glorious new models could be heading our way! Imagine sleek, twisted armor that perfectly balances elegance with pure chaos—complete with sonic weapons that make your ears bleed (in a good way, of course).

Emperor's Children 2025

We’re talking about Noise Marines rocking amps bigger than their bolters, maybe even a Lucius the Eternal update that screams, “I’m too fabulous to die!” Plus, let’s not forget some new daemonic creations—think Slaanesh on steroids with claws, whips, and an attitude to match.

Oh, and of course, a plastic version of Fulgrim would be nice as well. Whatever comes our way in 2025, it’s bound to be as loud and extravagant as the Legion itself!

Final Thoughts on the New 2025 Roadmap

As we wrap up this glimpse into the future of the 41st Millennium from the Nova Open Previews, one thing’s clear: the galaxy’s about to get a whole lot more chaotic—and we’re not just talking about those Chaos rumors. Whether you’re rooting for the noble (if slightly unhinged) Astra Militarum, the stylish yet deadly Aeldari, or the towering Imperial Knights with their love of giant weapons, there’s plenty of excitement on the horizon.
