Grimdark Construction Equipment? New Rumor Engine Spotted

gw store rumor engine

What do you think it is? Games Workshop is back with another rumor engine showing off what looks to be some kind of construction equipment.

Games Workshop gave us another rumor engine and it really has us scratching our heads. There are actually two possible things that we think it could go to.

If you missed the other rumor engine from earlier, be sure to check it out!

crane arm

Looking at the bit, this really got us scratching our heads. At first glance, we thought it was some kind of crane’s arm. Nothing about this really screams out “weaponized” or “armored tank”. Plus, it’s not the first time we’ve seen construction equipment brought into the game.

We’ve seen some heavy duty construction equipment come to the Genesetealer Cult with the Tectonic Fragdrill as well as the terrain pieces for the Ork Kill Team. Believe it or not, they actually both have rules on the tabletop!

However, if it’s not any kind of construction equipment, we think it might be a stabilizing arm for some kind of heavy firepower.

deployable turret

Maybe it could go to something like a deployable turret that can unleash a flurry of firepower. Obviously, because of its payload, it would need some stabilizing arms to dig into the ground and secure it in place.

senry turret

We know lore-wise, the Astra Militarum, Adeptus Arbites, and Planetary Defense Forces all use these deployable sentries. They can be brought into a corridor of a breached hull of a ship and mow down any intruders as they assault in.

Whatever it is, it definitely has the “Imperial feel” to it.

What do you think it could be? Are you leaning more towards construction equipment or turret stabilizer? Let us know in the comments of our Facebook Hobby Group.
