Here’s the latest Rumor Engine from Games Workshop. As usual, there are some interesting possibilities for what it could be! Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see what Games Workshop has in store when it’s finally revealed. Let’s take a look and try to guess until then!
Rumor Engine: May 6th, 2025
The latest rumor engine is a pretty obvious foot, but it has lots of possible placements. One very clear thing is that it is an armored foot with cloth/fabric socks or pants, which is not too common in Space Marines. Maybe Leagues of Votann, Adeptus Mechanicus, or Necromunda?
It is most likely not in AoS or Fantasy, but it could even be a new pilot model for the Knight Defender.
If you check the Votann, they mostly wear rubber or mixed material boots, leaving Necromunda and Adeptus Mechanicus! The Technoarcheologist above has a metal chancla with leather-like material behind it, getting pretty close to the feel of this engine.
Necromunda Palatine Enforcers also wear similar shoes, but their pants are noticeably thicker.
Still, this is a rumor engine with tons of possible options; it really could be anything, even a wild specialist game mini!
