The new trailer for Ant-man and the Wasp is finally out and it has us excited to find out more. Come take a look at the latest trailer from Marvel to rise above the competition.
With Black Panther’s theatrical release and Infinity War on the horizon, Marvel Studio comes to drop yet another movie trailer for us to ogle at. Ant-Man and the Wasp see the return of Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as the titular characters in the continuation of 2015’s “Ant-Man” along with Micheal Douglas as Doctor Hank Pym and Michael Peña as Luis in an exciting look into the upcoming film.
Starting off with a small recap of Scott Lang’s (Paul Rudd) escapade in the events of Captain America: Civil War, we see that after arrest and capture, the trio of Scott, Hank, Hope are in hot water with the government after them, followed by a tease of Lawrence Fishburne’s character, Dr. Bill Foster, otherwise known in the comics as “Goliath”, a Biochemist and researcher who, through the use of Pym Particles, is able to grow in stature and strength to gigantic proportions. With that in mind, the small amount of footage we get of Scott Lang growing to gigantic sizes overlooking a boat might lead to a potential Kaiju-like fight between the two characters. We also see a quick look at Ghost, an exciting addition to the cinematic roster.
Also present, quite prominently, is a fast-paced chase sequence in their vans, using plenty use of size-changing, whether it be on the main character’s van or an innocent, but large, Hello Kitty Pez dispenser. We also get our first look at Hope (Evangeline Lilly) in full combat in her new suit, making use of extra features over the Ant-Man suit like wings, and wrist-mounted blasters. Set to release in July 2018, the first amount footage looks exciting, and not just for the setpiece of a tiny submarine scuttling by some same-sized tardigrades.
