Each month, Games Workshop offers a free “mini of the month” at their stores based on the faction release, along with a promo coin. It’s a fantastic way to try out new painting techniques or start a new faction without breaking the bank.
This coming month, the free Warhammer 40k mini of the month is an Emperor’s Children Tormentor. It’s a versatile model that fits perfectly into any EC army, making it a pretty much must-have for both new and veteran players.
Why You Should Grab It:
From the new codex, the Tormentors are one of the core troop choices for the Emperor’s Children when it comes to delivering firepower. Tormentors hit the battlefield decked out in outrageously flashy power armour, lugging around boltguns so blinged-out they look more like trophies than weapons.
They’re the backbone of a lot of Emperor’s Children warbands, and you get 20 of them in the new army set. Driven by bottomless egos and an endless thirst for more, these guys are all about charging headfirst into the fray.
Speed and brutality are their love languages, and they’re always on the hunt for the next wild, bloody thrill — preferably served up by whatever poor soul gets in their way.
Free Warhammer Miniature (Mini) of the Month: May 2025
Just a heads-up: the latest Warhammer mini of the month is up for grabs while supplies last, and we never really know if the Warhammer store will be opening a 40k unit box for the free model or if you’ll get a complete miniature on a small sprue.
Either way, you might not get the exact model shown above by Games Workshop, but it should be from the same unit.
GW’s Citadel Collectible Coin Promo For May
This month is a real treat for collectors, with a fantastic Emperor’s Children coin to follow their release! It will all go down in May, but just remember, you’ll have to spend $100 to get the coin.
They will both be available while supplies last, which means you might be able to get a coin and the free mini on the same trip, depending on when you visit. Either way, if you ask the store and it’s in stock, the coin should be yours no matter how you slice it.
