Become the one who knocks and try not to suck at dealing in this board game based off of the iconic television series Breaking Bad!
GenCon was a place of wonders and announcements this past weekend. One of which was the play test and announcement for the Breaking Bad board game by Asmodee. If you have ever wanted to know the stress of making Blue Sky, dealing with the cartel, and/or having the DEA hunt you, this game is for you. You will be getting deep and dirty in Albuquerque, New Mexico as you play one of the three criminal factions: Heisenberg, Los Pollos Hermanos, Juarez Cartel, or as the DEA Agent.
When playing the criminal factions, your goal is to produce Blue Sky and sell a predetermined amount that is set as the victory condition before your opponents do. If that isn’t your style… well you can always kill of the competition by using the corresponding cards for bombings, shootings, etc. As the DEA Agent, you are tasked with seizing the criminal factions’ labs by using DEA Raid cards. You can also win by throwing all of them in prison or by killing them.
More in depth details as to how the game mechanics will develop and the game is scheduled to be released later this year. We do know that it will be turn-based with deckbuilding/pooling and each player will have two options on their turn: Drawing a card; playing a card from hand; producing Blue Sky(dealer only); selling 1 Blue Sky on his faction board(dealer only).
We will be keeping an eye out for this one as it cooks. Be sure to check back with us regularly and with Asmodee for more information about the Breaking Bad Board Game.
Oh, and remember, if you say you want this enough times, it still won’t guarantee that you won’t suck at peddling Blue Sky….
