Prepare to charge your Kamehameha Waves and Special Beam Cannons as IDW Games has announced that it has partnered with Toei Animation to create a series of Dragon Ball Z tabletop games.
Dragon Ball Z is one of the most iconic anime series and pop culture favorite both in Japan and North America. IDW Games will be releasing a new collection of non-collectible board, tile-laying, and dice games. The first title of this collection will be Dragon Ball Z: Perfect Cell.
Designed by Chris Bryan, who is known for his involvement in the Board With Life web series, Perfect Cell will be for 2-4 players that can choose from a selection of Dragon Ball Z fighters. Dice will be rolled to generate energy, custom tokens will help players allocate their dice into attacks, aiding other players, or purchasing upgrades. This game emphasizes team work as Cell will regen health, prevent players from upgrading, or bringing in new threats.
Dragonball Z: Perfect Cell: $39.99
In Dragon Ball Z: Perfect Cell, 2 to 4 players will each take control of an iconic Dragon Ball Z fighter and roll their dice to generate energy. Using custom icons, players allocate their dice into performing attacks, helping other players, or buying upgrades. Players need to work together though, as Cell will continue to generate new threats that can heal him, damage all players, or lock players out of potentially game-changing upgrades.
