Endless Spells featureGW previewed 3 new Endless Spells rules for the Daughters of Khaine today that will be coming in the new battletome

Warhammer Community gave us a little taste of what to expect with the new book. If you’ve been dying for some new spells, well, you’re in luck! The Endless Spells models are going to be in the pre-order this Saturday, so not too long to wait now until you can grab them.

If you want to see more about the release itself, you can check it out here. First, though, we’ll look at the Great Sect rules they previewed then jump into the spells.

6 New Great Sect AoS Rules For Daughters of Khaine

Daughters of Khaine collectors battletomeThe Daughters of Khaine also have a limited edition version of their own, perfect for displaying your devotion to the God of Murder on your mantelpiece and sure to start many… interesting conversations with guests.

These are as usual going to be very limited, so make sure you get it while you can, otherwise you will probably miss out. Hopefully, they put the rules out for everyone since these are limited, but we’ll have to wait and see on that. Now, let’s jump into the new rules!

Many of the battletomes in Warhammer Age of Sigmar include sub-faction rules that enable you to add some extra narrative flavour to your army, and the new book for the Daughters of Khaine is no exception. You can look forward to six new sets of rules themed upon the great sects of the Khainite cult, each with a unique ability, command ability, command trait, and artefact of power.

Hagg Nar:

This ability allows you to re-roll run and charge rolls of 1 for your Hagg Nar units from the outset of the battle. It also means that you’ll be able to re-roll hit rolls of 1 in melee from the second battle round onwards. Even if your opponent wins the dreaded double-turn and gets the jump on you, your Daughters of Khaine will be more than ready to meet (read as ‘murder’) them.

One other thing that is interesting about this is the cumulative effect. This is the only trait they revealed, but we assume the other will do something similar. Maybe by turn two, you can get the bonuses up to the 4th round.

Draichi Ganeth

Daughters of khaine great sect rules draichi GanethThis will get most of your units hitting on a 2+. Nothing to complain about there, and by the third battle round, you’ll be rerolling those ones as well. Basically ensuring you hit with everything.

Zainthar Kai

Daughters of khaine great sect rules Zainthar KaiThis is perfect for those of you who love to send your general into the fray. If you can get within 3 or 4 units, you can start dishing out the mortal wounds. While you have to get within 3″ of 3 units to make this statistically worthwhile, the dice can always be your friend. Just imagine getting four units with this and dishing out 4D3 mortal wounds. That may be a bit reaching, but it could happen!

Serpent Spell

Serpent Spell 2While this spell will suck against the Sons of Behemat, against most armies it can kill a ton of stuff. The main thing is, it just outright slays them. So if you can get lucky on your dice rolls, you can take out multiple 2-3 wound models. Pretty sweet if you ask us.

Unnatural Edge

Unnatural Edge

Unnatural Edge 2First off, just don’t mind the typo at the end there… Anyway, doing mortal wounds and ignoring cover is never bad. Even if you can’t get this within an inch, it will still have a decent effect on the enemy. While it won’t outright kill minis like the spell above, it will have more additional use.

Locus of the Murder God

Locus of the Murder God

Locus of the Murder God 2The other two are very offensive, but this spell is all about keeping your own units alive. Reducing damage is never a bad thing and a 12″ range is pretty decent.

What do you think about the new spells? Are you going to try and grab the limited edition book?
