4 Things We Overlooked About Be’lakor (Including Price)

Be'lakor-wal-horHere are the 4 things we may have overlooked about Be’lakor along with a potential price point, from the big reveal!

Warhammer Community previously unveiled some great new pics of the mini, the new book he’ll be in, and the versions for 40k and AoS. Let’s recap then go over some pricing details.

If you haven’t heard about New Model Monday, you can check out all the details here, but basically, GW is going to unveil one new and upcoming mini every Monday! But to be honest, it’s going to be hard for the next model to live up to the craziness of this one. Why are we still writing and not showing you the pics? Good question…

4 Things We Overlooked About Be’lakor (Including Price)

New Be'lakor

The Daemon in AoS is going to be getting new rules and release alongside the 3rd Broken Realms book, very fittingly called Be’lakor. So we’ll be using that as the “base” model since we know it’s getting rules and a bigger release.

Be'lakor Daemon Prince oldThe differences from the original model are just insane! The wings are way more impressive, the arm with the sword is pointing down, the scenic base, the Chaos symbol is inset, and it’s just way cooler. But you can still see the model is very much Be’lakor.

The 40k Version

So, it looks like he’s actually going to have a fair amount of different pieces for 40k. The dead Primaris on his base, the laurels hanging in the wings, the imperial skulls, the Space Marine helmet, and a different head, and left arm.

Pretty cool the kit is coming with that many extra parts! But, if you want to use him in both games, you can easily just leave the mini off the base, keep just the skulls on the wings and he would fit in both perfectly.

Base Size

Be'lakor sizeBe’lakor is looking BIG. In fact, he looks like he will be about the same size as a bloodthirster, and in turn a tad smaller than a Lord of Change. Currently, as it stands, we know for a bare minimum Be’lakor’s got a scenic base, two sets of bits for the base and his wings, two arms, and two heads. Technically, he could have more, but right now that is what we know for sure.

He will also most likely be on a big ‘ol 100-110 mm base., which makes sense as the LoC is on a 100mm and Bloodthirster is on a 105 mm oval.

Price Comparison

BloodthirtsterCompare that to a Bloodthirster, which has 3 weapons, 2 sets of arms, and 3 heads making three different models for $140 on GW… Be’lakor on the other hand is looking at two main variations, but with the added bonus of that scenic base, which the bloodthirster lacks.

Overall, they seem similar in value and we are going to guess that he will come in around the crisp $140-$160 range for the added tag of being a new big character with a scenic base.

Remember also that several of the Greater Daemons just went up to that $140 price tag from $115 less than a year ago.

The big question for some players may be if you can leave the corpse/casualty off the base to use him in both systems without magnetizing and use him universally?

Are you excited about the new Be’lakor, and what do you think his price will be?
