New 40k App For Battle Reports: Rightful Ruler Kickstarter

Rightful Ruler feature rThis new app is perfect for making 40k games, battle reports, and streams better, don’t miss the Rightful Ruler Kickstarter!

They have been developing this for about 18 months now, and it’s just loaded with features. It measures everything on the table, including auras, weapons, objectives, and basically everything you could need for a game. They want to make tabletop gaming into a spectator sport, and with all the ranges and what not shown, this is a huge step in that direction.

You’ll be able to watch the hobby and stream your games with so much shown that it will be way more interesting to watch. With all these features focused on the spectator side, it may have the ability to bring new people into the hobby, which is always a good thing.

New 40k App For Battle Reports: Rightful Ruler Kickstarter

Rightful Ruler32By using this, it really takes out the guesswork and all the room for arguments, for either your games or watching them on a stream. It tells you exactly how far everything is apart, lets you record games, and is just loaded with features. But now for the free part:

Because we want to see tabletop wargaming grow into a mature spectator sport we are going to be giving away the desktop streamer version of Rightful Ruler for free, with an attribution license. This means you or your favorite streamer can use the software for free so long as you include a five-second attribution animation or message crediting Rightful Ruler for the measurement tool in your broadcast or video

Rightful Ruler Kickstarter is Live Now!

If you want to see everything it can do, be sure to check out the video above! But, let’s hear from them a little more about the project:

This is a FREE product, to benefit the tabletop community as a whole, so rewards are limited. By backing this you help fund the development of tools for your favorite battle report channels.

This is Rightful Ruler, the technology platform for tabletop AR that we’ve been developing for the last 18 months. Thousands of you have already downloaded our early mobile app, and now we are looking to take the next step, with your help, and build a suite of tools for battle report creators, streamers, and tournament organizers.

That’s pretty amazing they are giving this away, but if you really appreciate the product, you should think about backing it. Even though it’s free, they still have some cool milestones to hit.

Rightful Ruler 2Tabletop is not only more popular than ever – it’s on the cusp of becoming something greater altogether: a spectator sport.

But tabletop gaming is not an easy thing to spectate. There is a large barrier to entry. There is so much you have to know to be able to see what is really going on, to be able to imagine and project the opportunities, risks, and drama that is unfolding on the battlefield.

Ranges, auras, potential movement, and maneuvers – these are things that are hard to see for yourself in your mind’s eye – but imagine if you could.

That’s the whole point of this project! To make watching the game so much more enjoyable and easy to understand. While there are a ton of great streamers who tell you everything that’s happening, this makes it so much easier. Instead of just guessing, this shows you right away.

Rightful Ruler 6Like with all projects, the more it gets backed, the more we all get! This is just a really cool idea and way to expand the hobby. If you want to see games in a better way, this is the project to back.
