New Warhammer Game Release Announcements/Reveals

Realms of Ruin for Age of Sigmar is the first new game we will touch on.

aos rts

Raise your banners and march on the Mortal Realms in Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin, the first ever AAA real-time strategy game set in the world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Coming to PlayStation® 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, this epic adventure from strategy game maestros Frontier Developments gives you command of four factions in expansive open warfare, featuring loads of your favourite units from the miniatures game.

Upgrade units with in-depth tech trees and unleash them against your rivals in gripping battles that change every time you play. Capture arcane conduits and harvest resources as you fight your war on multiple fronts, all to claim the realm of Ghur for your chosen faction.

An expansive single-player campaign co-written by Black Library legend Gav Thorpe sends the immortal heroes of the Stormcast Eternals on a mission to defend the fortress of Harkanibus from cunning Kruleboyz. Players can clash in 1v1 and 2v2 cross-platform multiplayer bouts, both in laid-back casual games and ranked leaderboards.

This looks like a huge new game, and with it being on all platforms, it should do well! Not to mention a large-scale AoS RTS isn’t something we’ve seen a ton of, so this change of space might be a home run!

Check out the full trailer and developer insights in the trailer below.

Warhammer 40k Speed Freaks

Next up, Speed Freaks is another new game that may remind you of something familiar from back in the day…

speed freaks 2

Start yer engines, boyz –Speed Freeks, the meanest, greenest vehicle combat game in history, is coming soon to a PC near you. Racing combat experts Caged Element have crafted a masterpiece of anarchic Ork mayhem, plunging players into chaotic 16-player matches filled with trukkloads of dakka, and you can have your first taste in the public alpha playtest starting today on Steam.

If you have been playing video games for a while you may notice some similarities to the old Twisted Metal games! Even better, there’s an alpha test going on right now!

speed freaks

Choose from one of seven unique vehicles with distinct abilities to define your playstyle, from deadly killers to all-out speed machines. The alpha playtest is accessible from the 25th of May to the 8th of June, and puts you behind the wheel in a fresh new game mode for vehicular combat, charging players with capturing key points and causing a ruckus to build their score, before racing like mad for the finish line.

Destruction derby-style racing games haven’t been popular lately, but this game looks promising!

Check out the incredible trailer below!

Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader

Rogue Trader is also getting a new game that has been previewed a few times already.

rogue trader game

Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader CRPG by Owlcat Games, introducing the newest party member – the indomitable Space Wolf Ulfar. Feast your eyes on enemies and locations from across the game world, from Drukhari in the dark depths of Commoragh to Necrons on their sinister tomb worlds.

Ground combat not enough? Get your first taste of vicious ship-to-ship battles in the darkness between the stars, and a hint of the nefarious Chaos machinations going on behind the scenes. Finally, you won’t have to wait long to get your first experience in the world of Rogue Trader – the Founders’ Beta goes live on the 1st of June.

RPG games are usually a good time, and fans of Rogue Trader know that these are some of the most unique Imperial characters out there!

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge

The last new game is Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, which you may have seen some coverage of at Warhammer Fest.

warpforge card game

Take your battles for the fate of the 41st Millennium into the tense, head-to-head arena of card combat in Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, which launches a brand new demo today. This updated preview of the full Warpforge experience adds the ravenous predators of Hive Fleet Leviathan to the roster of playable factions, bringing the total so far up to six.

Taking part in the demo on Steam will also unlock priority access to a closed alpha playtest period beginning on the 8th of June, so get your first few licks in now.

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge is the next attempt at a 40k digital card game, and while it probably won’t compete with the likes of MTG or Pokemon, it’ll still be a fun strategy game for fans to indulge in.

Non-Video Game Releases & Cross Overs

Warfare in the 41st Millennium is a messy business, but if you think the soldiers who fight against the galaxy’s horrors have it bad, spare a thought for the unfortunate custodians who clean up after them. Imagine all the blood, ichor, and who knows what else left over when the Space Marines have blown through yet another daemonic incursion or Tyranid invasion – you’ll need more than a mop and bucket to get that lot off.

There isn’t too much to go off of here, but if you know anything about PowerWash, it’s strangely actually a fun game!

World of Tanks: Modern Armor (Warhammer 40k)

World of Tanks: Modern Armour continues its celebration of Warhammer 40,000 with the recently released Leman Russ tank and a new Space Marine commander, placing the weapons of the 41st Millennium up against the best the modern day has to offer.

This was announced a little bit ago, so if you missed it watch the full original trailer below!
