All The New Horus Heresy Miniatures On The Way

horus-heres-icon-logo-wal-hor-titleHere are all the new miniatures we know that are coming for Horus Heresy so far hopefully very soon in 2021!

We’ve seen a bunch of Praetors, some special characters, and even a slip-up release where people got sent the wrong minis. So if you like looking forward to even more new minis (we all do) then let’s get into what’s coming next!

All The New Horus Heresy Miniatures On The Way

We’ll start with the Choas side of things because this mini was accidentally sent out by Forge World. So while these aren’t officially out, there are some in the wild!

Horus Heresy Praetor

The Bits in the Wild

This is the kit they got, and it’s quite obvious that’s not Maloghurst! There are a few rumors floating around as to who it is, but now that it’s confirmed, no point guessing anymore. Since it isn’t any of the minis seen in the new starter, we still have hope that it will be plastic.

New HH Mini sons of horus character

New HH Mini sons of horus characterIt was obviously Sons of Horus by the shoulder pads. The most obvious thing would have been a Praetor (turned out it was), as they already previewed them for the Imperial Fists. Not to toot our own horn, but we did guess this one right, so, toot-toot!

New Sons of Horus Praetor Confirmed by GW!

Sons of Horus PraetorWhether you prefer to assemble the miniature with the fearsome, impassive helmet or the head option that bears more than a passing resemblance to the Warmaster, his pose strikes a dynamic, powerful stance that should keep him stable when he swings that power fist. He’s also armed with a volkite pistol, so you know he’s not messing around at any distance.

The mini is honestly pretty cool even if the posing isn’t super dynamic. When you compare it to the Imperial Fists one, it is similar but not quite as action posed. Since they already have the kits ready to go, we hope they come out soon, but GW did say they will be coming later this year.

New Horus Heresy Imperial Fists Praetors Revealed!

New imperial fists Horus HeresyAvailable in either power armour or Tartaros Terminator armour, these new models look so good that even their staunchest foes, the Iron Warriors, can’t help but be impressed. Whether you’re building an army to defend Terra or a force to take the fight to Horus and his Traitors, these will fit perfectly into your Imperial Fists collection.

If you want to see just how well you can slay some Iron Warriors, these are the minis to do it with!

imperial fists Horus HeresyAs with all Legions, the Imperial Fists had numerous Praetors – the mightiest warriors and battle-leaders within the Space Marines ranks. Among the VII Legion, Praetors were second only to Dorn in their skill with a blade, their generalship, and their mastery of the siege. To make them stand out on the battlefield (or when marching up and down along the walls of the Imperial Palace), they wear the finest armour, covered in the Legion’s symbols and insignia.

These are coming out this week, so if you’ve been waiting for some more Fists to crusade with, the time is upon us!

New Horus Heresy Argel Tal Mini Teased!

Argel TalArgel Tal was one of the Word Bearers Legionaries who went on a pilgrimage into the Eye of Terror. Like anyone who goes abroad on holiday, he refused to shut up about how much the trip had changed him when he got home. Unlike people who spend a week learning to cook Italian food, Argel Tal had been bonded with a daemon while traveling the immaterium. After his expedition, Argel Tal formed an unlikely bromance with the Captain of the World Eaters 8th Company, Khârn, as they fought in the Shadow Crusade together.

Unfortunately, the Word Bearers’ Chaplain Erebus had his own plans for Khârn and got rather jealous of the burgeoning friendship. After much arching of fingers and dastardly scheming, he split Argel Tal and Khârn up before they got to take the road trip to Terra they had been planning.

The mini is quite a stunning one and holding a ripped-in-half marine only makes him scarier! Since we assume this is going to be on pre-order soon from Forge World, we expect him to go fast. Because even if you don’t use him for Horus Heresy, the mini is just awesome!

New Ultramarine Praetors

Ultramarine PraetorAs you’d expect from some of the finest warriors in the Legion, they are clad only in the best armor and carry the most powerful weapons available. They’re covered in Ultramarines symbols and insignia so that you can easily identify who is in charge, whether you’re fighting in the catacombs of Calth* or starting your own Imperium.

Ultramarine PraetorAvailable in either the most lavish of power armour or the equally impressive Terminator armour, these models will strike fear into both hearts of any Word Bearer (or Traitors from any other Legion, for that matter). So whether you’re holding back the Shadow Crusade.

From a 40k perspective, these guys seem to be the precursors to the mighty Space Marine Primaris lieutenants. Jokes aside as an Ultras player they are just gorgeous, and we can wait to see even more legion-specific (or non-specific) Praetors in the future.

Rumors: New Plastic Starter Set

Thanks to the following exclusive image submitted by a Spikey Bits reader, we now have more to go off and a better idea of everything in the set. If these are right, this could be a gigantic starter.

Hi Guys.
I did this on ppt it gives a better idea of what might be the content of the future box
Thank you for what you do for the hobby

30k rumor (compressed)Also just to note, these are all going to be priced in plastic.

  • 40 Mark III Space Marines $200 ($50 for 10)
  • 10 Cataphractii Terminators $130 ($65 for 5)
  • Contemptor Dreadnought $60 (based on the existing kit)
  • Characters $50 (based on the Space Marine Characters pack)
  • Spartan $100 (drop from resin based on the Repulsor Executioner price)
  • Rulebook and other potential accessories (note the absence of any templates…)

Total MSRP: $540

Total Values: if it’s priced in box at $200: $340 / at $300: $240

Whatever the price comes out to be, even at $300 this could really have the value-packed in there. Especially if the price of the Spartan doesn’t drop as we would expect.

hrous heresy spartan plasticPlus new rumors are even saying the release date on this set may have been moved up, and the Spartan may actually be a dual kit- which would be pretty neat!
