endless-spells-aos-3.0-titleWith spells being stronger than ever in the new edition, check out the AoS General’s Handbook 2021 Endless Spells rules & points changes!

With the new edition basically upon us, it’s time to start looking at what everything will cost! We’ve seen a lot of changes to how spells work with the new edition, meaning they will play a bigger role than ever before. Just like with all the units, the majority of these are going up in points.

So it’s not really a NERF to any, in particular, just a way for GW to balance everything in one fell swoop.

This is basically what they did with 9th edition 40k, more or less raising points across the board and helping out some of the less played factions. Let’s get into it!

AoS General’s Handbook 2021 Endless Spells Points

Generals HandbookWith the big releases lined up for AoS 3.0, including Dominion, the hype that they’ve been building for months is finally coming to pass. The new edition is going to change a lot with the game, and bring way more rules and interactions than before, but so far it has received fairly decent reviews.

We’ll have to get some games in and see how it plays. For now, let’s jump into the point changes!

Endless Spells Changes

Endless Spells changesThe majority are going up in points, but four spells are actually going down. They are using this as a quick way to kind of reset how powerful certain spells are, but some of the biggest changes come with Quiksilver Swords, going up a giant 60 points, and Malevolent Maelstrom increasing by 55 points. Umbral Spellportal was the only to remain unchanged, well, other than Balewind Vortex, because it looks like it has been removed from Matched play from this and the points page itsefl.

Endless Spells Warsrolls

Endless spells warscrolls 2The wording on Emerald Lifeswarm is a bit confusing, but, it might mean that you get to heal or return up to 2d3 wounds or models. When it is set up, and when it is moved.

Endless spells warscrollsThe Maelstorm went way up in price, but could still dish out some serious wounds, the only issue is, even if you get this to six in the turn you really want it to go off, you would still need to roll a 4+ for it to activate.

Endless spells warscrolls 3Quicksilver Swords had another hefty point increase, but it doesn’t allow for ward rolls, and if you get lucky, could do a ton of mortals!
