And the rank and file troops emerge. We did get a glimpse of these guys back in July, but to see them again with the box set is just sublime. The new sprues were all worth the wait, they are gorgeous!!
The box lists the contents as 30 MK IV Marines all in generic plastic form with separate shoulder pads and torsos so you can in theory upgrade them with any number of resin kits from Forge World.
++++ AND YOU DO WANT TO UPGRADE THEM, DON’T YOU???? ++++
Ahem…. you can always use the included decal sheet to make them either the noble Ultramarines or the insidious Word Bearers, the choice is yours.
From the pictures of the power armor sprues it looks like each squad of ten will get the following upgrades (not to mention tons of extra pack, and 15 different head options)
Melta
Flamer (mk1)
Plasma Gun
Power Fist
Lightning Claw
Heavy Bolter (nemesis style)
Missile Launcher (mk1)
Pretty good deal all the way around for gearing up to play some games of Heresy. Get your pre-orders in when you can, this kit is sure to disappear quicker than Chaos after Horus’s death at Terra!
