GW Gives Cursed City Playable Age of Sigmar Rules

GW-Previews-cursed-cityLooks like those dope Cursed City models will all have playable Age of Sigmar Rules- check out this preview for what’s next!

If you weren’t too interested in trying out the new game, but love the minis, this is amazing news. Warhammer Community unveiled rules for 4 of the models but we expect to see more before the release. The minis in the new set are actually really cool, so this just gives the set so much more value.

Each mini in the set also comes with a Warscroll for AoS in the box, so you won’t have to buy a separate book or anything like that. Let’s look at the minis coming and then check out the rules!

GW Gives Cursed City Playable Age of Sigmar Rules

Cursed city layoutWarhammer Quest is a co-operative game that sees you and your friends take to the streets of the Cursed City to fight the hordes of the undead. If you’ve played a Warhammer Quest game before, you’ll recognise the rules, but the mechanics have been updated to be even more immersive and even more deadly.

8 Heroes come inside this box (with rules for a 9th supposedly in the accompanying novel of the same name).

They’ll need all of their skills and cunning if they are to save Ulfenkarn, for the city is at the mercy of unspeakable horrors. From bat swarms and Corpse Rats to the Deadwalker Zombies, Ulfenwatch, and Kosargi Nightguard.

If you want to see all the rules and everything we’ve seen so far, check it out here. Now, let’s get into the new rules for Age of Sigmar.

Jelsen Darrock

warhammer quest hero

Judgement rule AoSThis can actually kill lower wound models super easily, and if you’re lucky can kill a 2 or 3 wound model in one shot. But, even if you fail the roll, it will still do one mortal wound. With a 3+ to hit, he should dish out a fair amount of mortals.

Octren Glimscry

cursed city Heroes

Witherhing Hex AoS RulesThis is pretty sweet because not only do you deal mortal wounds, you also subtract 1 movement from the for the rest of the game, overall a nice little power.

Gorslav the Gravekeeper

warhammer quest villian

Gravekeep AoS Rules

Keeper of the CorpsesThat’s a shovel that every Krieg would be jealous of! With 3 attacks and d3 damage, he can dish out some serious hurt. Also, he’ll be hard to kill because when he’s near any zombies they can just soak up the wounds for him. They also mention he can actually raise zombies as well, so he should be very hard to get rid of!

Vargskyrs

Cursed city mini

Bounding LEapsWith a charge range of up to 18 inches, nothing is safe from a Vargskyr. Even if you manage to cast Otren’s Withering Hex upon it, this creature is going to be feasting upon your warriors tonight. All of the Warhammer Age of Sigmar warscrolls for the Cursed City models come in the box of the new Warhammer Quest game.

While actually making that 18″ charge isn’t very likely, you should easily be able to get off almost all charges within 10-11 inches. That’s all the rules so far, but expect to see more in the near future.

Will you be using these minis in your AoS games? Are you excited about the new box set?
