GW Removing Xenos Factions Products From Warhammer 40k AI

last-chance-to-buy-cames-workshop-warhammer-40kGW is removing all the Xenos faction products from Warhammer 40k Aeronautica Imperialis as Legions Imperialis takes over.

This probably doesn’t come as a huge surprise, as Games Workshop hasn’t been keeping up with Aeronautica Imperialis recently. It looks like they are mainly going to roll the game into Legions Imperialis, and this may be bad news for Xenos players who may want to finish out their collections.

Considering Legions will only be focused on the Horus Heresy, Xenos look to be on the outs for both games now, and GW is moving quickly to stop selling the miniatures.

Xenos Faction Products Aeronautica Imperialis In this update from GW, they’re moving the three Xenos factions to the Last Chance to Buy List. Generally, miniatures last for about a couple of weeks when they hit this list.

So, if you want any of the Xenos ships, you better go and grab them before they are gone, possibly for good. Sometimes, they bring models back after they go on Last Chance to Buy (they generally say they are gone for “the foreseeable future”).

Currently, most of the products are still on the site, but if you see that little timer under a product, that means it’s on the list. As you can see, every Ork plane is on it.

Obviously, you can keep playing the game with whatever rules you have, but we wouldn’t get our hopes up for any new Xenos rules or models for the game individually.

However, if you play any non-Xenos factions, you may get more playability in the new Epic Scale Legions Imperials.

Legions Imperialis details 2

Legions Imperialis is ‘epic scale’, the same as Adeptus Titanicus and Aeronautica Imperialis. Combine your models into a grand host, supplementing your Legiones Astartes or Solar Auxilia with the god-engines of the Mechanicum and more – all the better to lay waste to your foes.

So on the plus side, Games Workshop has made it clear that you can use the Imperial faction models in LI, and it looks like that is where these miniatures will find continued use from now on!
