Hidden In Plain Sight: 40k Orks Combat Patrol Incoming!

By Travis Pasch | July 30th, 2021 | Categories: Orks, Warhammer 40k, Warhammer 40k Rumors

orks-wal-title-horCheck out the possible contents of a new 40k Orks Combat Patrol box set from the picture in the recently released codex!

Take a little salt with this one, because while we see what appears to be a new Combat Patrol in the codex, it may end up being different than what was pictured (just like with the Necrons and Space Marines).

Whereas the Sisters of Battle codex was the exact same as the picture.

We’re 1-2 at this point on Combat Patrols released versus how they were pictured in their respective codex books, which is not a good trend so far.

So, if this turns out to be the wrong one, don’t get too worked up. With that said, these are designed for new players to the factions just like the current Start Collecting Sets that GW introduced back in 2016 (except for $40-50 more at the register now). They are being marketed as a quick way to get a small force on the table and playing some small games right away.

Most times these starter-style kits are still a pretty good value despite the higher price point- so even if you have some Orks already, this could be a good pickup regardless. Since all the other Combat Patrols have been going for $140, we assume this should be the same price just as a heads up.

Hidden In Plain Sight: 40k Orks Combat Patrol Incoming!

Ork Combat Patrol (1)If this is the Combat Patrol, it would honestly be pretty fun because you’d be getting Deffkoptas, a Dread, new Boyz, and the new Warboss. So whether you’ve played for a while, or are just starting an army it is a fun smattering of units.

Plus, if this is really the box, you’ll be grabbing a ton of new units as the Boyz, Defkoptas, and Warboss all look like the new minis- which means there will probably be a really decent value inside.

Boyz 2The new Boyz are pretty sweet and look to have a lot of options with what type of weapons you can give them. With 20 inside the possible box, you’ll be getting a good starting point for your army.

MekBoyz on DeffkoptasWho doesn’t want a squadron of the new Defkoptas? We sure do!

Beast SnaggasLastly, if this is the real box, you may be able to grab this dope new Warboss!

Are you excited about the possible box? Will you be picking it up?
