rick moranis walRick Moranis returns- the legendary actor has been in some classic movies from back in the day, but it looks like he’s back from hiatus!

In a Mint Mobile commercial with Ryan Reynolds, Rick Moranis makes a shocking appearance. Could this just be the first of many appearances for Moranis?

Rick Moranis Returns To Acting After 20+ Year Hiatus

rick moranis 1If you grew up on 1980’s and 90’s films, then you know who this man is. He’s played roles in films like:

  • Honey, I Shrunk the Kids
  • Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves
  • Ghostbusters
  • Space Balls
  • Splitting Heirs
  • Parenthood

And that’s just a few of the movies he’s played in!

rick moranis 2Sadly, after his wife died, he took a complete stop to acting to raise the kids, and has been off the camera for a while now. Nobody expected Rick to show up in a mobile commercial with Ryan Reynolds! Yet here were are. 2020 is pretty weird but in a good way this time.

All things considered, this could be the start of Rick Moranis’ acting career once again, as rumor has it he may be reprising his scientist role in another of the “Shrunk” movies soon.

Only time will tell if he’s going to keep making appearances in commercials and eventually films but this should be taken as a good sign!

What’s your favorite movie Rick Moranis has played in? Would you like to see him come back to the film scene? Would he be perfect for movie reboots that he played in originally?
