New Horus Heresy Sicaran Venator Revealed By GW!

Sicaran Venator 2Another Sicaran kit is on the way for Horus Heresy, this time in the way of the Venator- check out the new tank hunter!

The recent Horus Heresy Thursdays have been pretty decent, as we’re getting much more than just upgrade kits! With how the Sicaran kit is made, GW left itself a lot of room to make new variants, so this is pretty cool to see!

This time, we get a tank-hunting version with a neutron beam laser instead of autocannons, so if you need to take out tanks, this might just be the release for you. We hope they come out with just the upgrade sprue on its own, but we’re not super hopeful about the idea.

New Horus Heresy Sicaran Venator Revealed By GW!

The new tank comes from this Warhammer Community post.

Sicaran Venator

For every battlefield problem in the Horus Heresy, the Legiones Astartes have at least one tank-shaped solution. The Typhon Heavy Siege Tank can level heavily fortified buildings, Scorpius Missile Tanks pin troops down with high-explosive salvos, and now the new plastic Sciaran Venator kit tears other tanks apart with its impressive primary armament.

We knew more variants were coming, and it’s nice to finally see them continuing to roll out! It would also make sense for the tank to be about the same price as the current kit.

Forged by the tech-priests of Mars during the Great Crusade, this advanced weapon was once used to slice through xenos armour. After the family dispute, the Loyalists and Traitors both quickly discovered that neutron lasers were just as effective when turned on ceramite and plasteel.

Like the stock Sicaran, the Venator can field sponson weapons to double down as a high-speed tank hunter, or to diversify its range of targets to include troops.

The Sicaran chassis is really cool model in general, so we’re always down for more kits even if they are variants! Hopefully, the Venator goes up for pre-order soon.

Sicaran Venator 4

This is a powerful Ordnance weapon – if the crackling energy beam doesn’t obliterate its target, the resulting Shock Pulse scrambles electronics and neuters any armed response.

Forcing everything into Snap Shots for a complete turn is nice, but hopefully, you should be one-shotting vehicles!
