The reveal trailer for Call of Duty WWII was shown during a special livestream on April 26th. It has been 14 years since the first Call of Duty was released by Infinity Ward and had players taking part in the D-Day landing then moving to three separate campaigns for the Americans, British, and Soviets. The newest installment has Sledgehammer Games bringing the tales of soldiers of the 1st Infantry Division “The Bloody Red 1” as they land at Normandy then fight across Europe. Slegdehammer is promising fast-paced combat and, if the trailer is any clue, it appears that they have succeed. One thing that must be said. This will not be a sequel to World at War.
Players will storm Normandy Beach during D-Day. Take down Ju-87 dive bombers with AA guns. Be ambushed by German panzers whilst riding with Sherman tanks and have to fight your way out. Bond with fellow squadmates and members of the 1st Infantry Division. It will have co-op play and multi-player. No definite word on if there will be a zombie mode and what those maps will look like and who the heroes will be.
Be sure to check out the reveal trailer if you haven’t already.
Call of Duty WWII will be released on November 3rd and can be pre-ordered. If you do pre-order, you will be given access to the Private Beta.
