The Summer 2016 roadmap is starting to form, and it’s not looking good for Age of Sigmar and the new summer campaign, but not so much for 40k. Come see!
Several sources are starting to say the same things, and it’s looking great for AoS fans. Grab those salt shakers and dig in:

There is definitely a shift, but a lot of it is simply the release schedule.
WFB (without End Times) in its final years had maybe ~20% of the release weeks while 40K was in overdrive with codex books, etc..
For 2016 (GW‘s financial year), the “strategic directive” I know about for certain was to have >50% of release weeks be AoS.
I don’t have sales numbers, but I would be surprised if that wouldn’t affect the internal 40K-vs-AoS/Fantasy a bit.
So according to the panda, that’s the 2016 year which for GW starts June 1, and GREATER THAN 50% of release weeks to be AoS, i.e. over 23 weeks of AoS.
Today we heard from another industry insider told Spikey Bits that:
The summer is mostly AoS, to bring it back to “a powerhouse“, with new models, points, and the global campaign (you reported already). The studio is actively listening to social medias (facebook) for FAQ’s and to take the temperature of the hobby as a whole.
Now compare all of that with the rumors mentioned above from over the weekend, about how the summer is starting to look release wise as well:

Summer Campaign ( Editor’s Note: First Reported By Industry Insiders to Spikey Bits)
There are Also the elves, coming earlier than expected, and something for sylvaneth and, hear hear, Slaanesh. The one many consider deleted from the setting, but who was actually just been captured.-taking place in the realm of life
-your battle results will be logged at a GW Web Station (the computer you order from When at GW Shop) to prevent skewing results like Eye of Terror did en will shape the setting When They write up future campaign books general’s handbook -units have a model count cap (max 10 models, or 20 models, etc. depends on the unit)
So where does that leave us. Perhaps it still too early to tell for sure what the summer may hold new release wise. but if more folks can collaborate the store this may just shape up to be a less grim and a slightly not as dark 2016…

It’s only crazy if it doesn’t sell.
P.S. there’s always 30k… Just sayin’
