1st Place: Ryan Lynn- Adeptus Mechanicus
Ryan went for 2 patrols of Admech, starting with a forge world Lucius Detachment. This patrol is led by a Marshal and a Tech-Priest Manipulus which together provide re-rolls and heals to important units.
A total of 40 Rangers add a good amount of bodies to help grab objectives and lay out a big volume of shots to any models close enough. Elites bring in 10 Infiltrators which have a huge benefit in their movement bonus to move around quickly at the beginning of the game.
The last model in the first patrol is an Archaeopter, which has some decent bombs and is pretty hard to take down thanks to the -1 to hit from the smokescreen keyword.
The second patrol is a forge world Lucius detachment. It is led by another Manipulus, who can help top off the more important units. For troops, there are 20 more foot soldiers in the form of Vanguards serving the same purpose as the rangers in the previous patrol.
Fast attacks bring in the extra oomph with 5 Ironstriders, bringing Twin Cognis Lascannons making up the main anti-armor options for the list while also being on fairly mobile models. There are also 9 Sterylizors bring more mobile harass units to help pick off weak units. Lastly, there are 2 more Archaeopters which are very hard to deal with flying harass units, bringing the total to 3.
Overall, this list features an emphasis on range and harass units, making it a hard list to play against if in the hand of a skilled general.
Ad Mech Victory- Congrats to Ryan on the win!
