If you wanted to see the names and factions of the overall winners, we’ve included that below.

1st Place: Tom Ogden – Black Templars

sunken city bt 1Tom went for two Patrols of Black Templars, with the first led by Grimaldus and Helbrecht. Both of which are fantastic named characters, with Helbrecht being a beast in melee and offering rerolls, while Grimaldus offers up extra Litany Support as one of the best chaplains in the game.

Troops keep it simple with a 14 man Primaris Crusader Squad for extra bodies and some decent melee threats in a pinch.

Elites add in an Apothecary for healing units that get damaged during turns to keep them in action, plus a Dreadnought with an Incinerator and Gatling makes for a mobile ranged threat that can handle both armor and chaff.

Closing out the bigger detachment is a 6 man Inceptor squad for some much-needed mobility to pick off any stragglers and help get an edge in gun fights.

sunken city bt 2The smaller Patrol is led by a single Primaris Chaplain for some more great litany support as the Black Templars don’t use Psykers. Troops bring in another identical Primaris Crusader Squad for the same reason as before.

Fast Attacks bring in 3 Attack Bikes with Meltas for more mobile threats with decent ranged damage capability.

Finally, heavy support brings in the hurt with 6 Eradicators, which are arguable the best dedicated ranged anti-armor units in the game!
