From behind the camera the beast has arisen, Robbie B, the 40k fat kid himself and Juice, are coming in hot with an Adepticon special battle report!
I’ll be piloting the Long War Special, the Rumble in this years Adepticon Jungle, the best heretical army, who painted up 4,000 points of Man Beard Painting Awesomeness. This army is being lead by an amazingly bad ass Archaon-Heldrake conversion, one of the most talked about pieces at Adepticon.
Lucius, the not so eternal, a fatty squad of customized cultists, 5 man terminators with chainfists and combi-plas, the Land Radier with dirge casters, Kharn with 3 mutiltors, cultists, another land raider, a bunker, and another massively talked about model this Khorne flavored Heldrake complete with chains and Khorne iconography.
The Nemesis strike force is leading Astra Militarum into the fray. This is 40k, this is 2016, we’re of course bringing the Librarius Conclave lead by the most bestest Librarian, Tigurius. Draigo, a Storm Raven, and an imperial cad with chimera’s, stock vets, Pask with his punisher and a plasma-cutioner. Oh, and some amazing Ogryn’s painted by Max Dubois at Hellfire Painting and some ministorum preists.

The Mission. We’re all about mixing new and old school. Dawn of War, Kill Points, and Secondary is end of game table quarters.

Objective Secured counts as full points, everyone counts as half points.
Tic-tacs Overview.
Kharn with 3 mutilators killed stuff but he was usually killed right back. Robbie B is familiar with half my list, he played it at Adepticon, it can do some work. Conversely, I too am well aware of Pask and the plasma-cutioner fury that will be roaring from those tanks. I know the Conlcave work that can be done with. Plus, OP Robby B, is bringing those Ogryns.

I seized the initiative, which was in fact party of my plan. In deployment, I saw I could split Pask up and hopefully get some lascannon shots into side armor. I don’t like splitting my forces but if I don’t take a chance with this Pask is just going to point and click and kill my Army.
Turn 1
Khorne Land Raiders lands 2 hits, 2 pens, 1 one and 1 six; Boom goes the hammer. The “Godhammer” just became the MVP of this game.
Turn 2
The Ogryn’s deep strike, unleash Ripper Guns, which have a blast template, with the new FAQ means we get SO many hits. The Ogryn’s 22 hits and hit themselves 9 times, doh. 6 wounds land and start chipping away at the cultists and the Ogryn’s take a wound in return.
In Turn 3
The Ogryn block the Land Raider from the plasma-cutioner and then slam into the Land Raider with lots of Psychic support and only get 1 hull point off the Land Raider.
In Turn 4
Kharn Rev’s up the Land Raider and plows through the Ogryn before unleashing hell, with some amazing Man Beard Painted Mutilators upon the rear armor of the Plasma-cutioner. Rob’s Storm Raven FINALLY comes in and goes after the heldrake which hits with the Multi-Melta, the helldrake jinx’s a 1, Rob rolls a 4 which causes a stun. The Ogryn’s charge in to combat and murder the mutilators.
Turn 5
Kharn and his Godhammer slam the pedal to the metal and move a full 12 inches trying to get away. The Archeaon-Drake is ineffective thanks to invisibility. The Storm Raven firepower is ineffective against jink-ing helldrakes, the assault phase the Ogryn’s go after the land raider and immobilize it.
