Get ready to let the Hammerhead loose with this crazy build that will take the Imperials by surprise. The cost of intergalactic war can be high, but worth it.
The MC75 Ordnance Cruiser is one mean brawler of a Rebel large ship. Its preferred arcs are its sides but it still packs a punch in its forward batteries. This build will want to get in close and deliver its payload of black dice. It also has one nasty surprise for unsuspecting Imperial admirals.
The Profundity title allows you to essentially have an “escape pod” ship with its ability. Before ship deployment, you may set aside 1 small ship with a command value of 1. At the start of any round, you may deploy that set-aside ship at distance 1 of your MC75. This will be part of our plan to get a Hammerhead deployed with the Profundity title.
Assault Proton Torpedoes is a great ordnance upgrade to punish your foes that get too close. Giving a faceup damage card to your target, before damage is resolved, just can’t be beaten. This can be combined with External Racks to get a powerful punch at close range.
The real damage will come from the Hammerhead cruise missile. At the right moment, you can deploy this ship when you come into range of your target, such as the enemy flagship. Once deployed, send this ship right at your target, like a guided missile!
Garel’s Honor is a title upgrade that can make your overlaps much more worthwhile. Once your Hammerhead is deployed, send it to bump your enemy target to death. Garel’s Honor will make the damage cards you deal to your enemy ship be dealt faceup. This can be paired with General Dodonna to pick a crit of your choice!
One last final punch before Garel’s Honor bites the dust is to blow its External Racks. Once in range, use External Racks and a Concentrate Fire command to blast a massive 4 black dice, 1 red, and 1 blue attack at the Imperial flagship.
