Super Squadron Brawler: Star Wars Armada

The MC75 is more than just a new big ship that the Rebels can throw at the Empire. This new build will be a flying fortress against Imperial squadrons!

The MC75 is already making waves in Armada, and this build can be a squadron brawler all its own! The anti squadron armament of 1 blue and 1 black is going to be the cornerstone of this build, along with access to ordnance upgrades. Let’s get this anti-squadron large ship on the move!

General Draven is a new officer option for the Rebel fleet. he favors squadron attacks and can rack up the damage super fast. While attacking a squadron with Counter or Intel, add 1 die of any color to your attack. With the prevalence of Sloane Imperial fleets, TIE Interceptors and Dengar are big targets for this officer. This can gain you an attack of 2 black, 1 blue die against these squadrons, or even attack at medium range with your 1 blue, and add a black for more damage punch.

The Early Warning System is a new defensive upgrade that can prevent bombers from wrecking your large ships. At the start of each Ship Phase, you may choose 1 of your hull zones and mark it with a chaff token. Until the end of that round, while a ship or squadron is attacking that hull zone, the attack is obstructed. This can work great in a large firing arc of your ship and can prevent most bombers from even attacking your ship since they will not have an attack pool to gather.

Once those bombers do start attacking your ship, Ordnance Pods can help you fight back. At the end of your attack step, you may choose one of your hull zones and perform an attack of 1 black die against a squadron, even if you have already attacked from that hull zone this round. This can benefit from the General Draven bonus die if that squadron has Counter or Intel. Make them regret hitting your ship!

To add insult to injury, having Quad Laser Turrets can make the difference in the attrition battle. This will give your ship Counter 1 while defending against squadron attacks, and these attacks can benefit from General Draven as well! Make those bombers regret ever pursuing your MC75!
