GW just revealed another extremely old kit that is getting reworked- check out the new Outland Beastmaster, and Ripperjacks for Necromunda!
It’s always nice to see these older kits get a rework, and lately, it feels like GW has been dipping into the well for Necromunda for new kits. We’re not complaining, though, as it’s always fun to get a little boost of nostalgia during the holidays!
Warhammer Community unveiled the new minis and a little of what the Ripperjacks can do in the game! Let’s take a closer look!
New Necromunda Outland Beastmaster & Ripperjacks!
Using ancient animal husbandry wisdom handed down throughout history (and their trusty shock staves), Beastmasters tame the fauna of Necromunda to do their bidding. These pets include gigantic hive rats, rock-skinned millisaurs, and the adorable ripperjacks.
The Ripperjacks are really cool, and while the Beastmaster isn’t the wildest model ever, it’s still pretty cool! Just keep in mind they do say they will be resin and from Forge World. A lot of these releases are, so no big deal.
Beastmasters command these winged delights with animal calls, siccing them on unwary gangers for giggles and credits*. Should their pets fail to get the job done, their shock stave and sawn-off shotgun should be enough to finish the job.
When you compare these to the older models from an eBay auction, the new ones are just so much better looking!
Ripperjacks have the gift of Flight, and can also smother their targets with an Enveloping Attack. All that time spent living with ripperjacks has taught their Beastmasters a thing or two, and they get the Catfall skill to keep up with their leathery pals.
The rules make sense because if one of these enveloped you like this, you’re not getting away! Then, being able to fall without getting hurt also makes sense, mainly because they can fly!
