squidmar glow tutorialSquidmar is here, once again, with another quick and easy paint tutorial. This time he’s tackling glowing eyes with a unique twist; no airbrush!

Squidmar has been doing this type of tutorials for a while now and doesn’t appear to back down from any challenge. His patrons voted for this one and now we get to see how he does it!

First things first, he adds some colors to his palette, Citadel Rakarth Flesh, any pure white, and Vallejo Orange Fluorescent.

Rakarth eyeThe first step is just a quick layer of Rakarth Flesh leaving the edge line of the eye the dark color it already was.

Just like that, we are already on the last step. Do two layers of the fluorescent orange, first just coating the eye, then using it more like a glaze. It’s okay if it spills onto the armor a bit as this will just add a minor “OSL-lite” effect.

This technique is really simple and can be applied to virtually any glow effect you need.

While it may sound simple enough, be sure to watch the full video below! Don’t forget to subscribe to Squidmar Miniatures YouTube channel for more tutorials.
