If you haven’t heard, Battlescribe is an army-builder completely ran by fans and volunteers who take time out of their day to plug every single wargear option/point into the app. These guys really are the unsung heroes of the tabletop. But beyond saving loads of time for everyone else trying to list-build, they’ve just announced that the 40k file on Battlescribe has an update.

Battlescribe’s Latest Update Released

Battlescribe does a lot more than just plug numbers for 40k games. They also do just about every single GW game out there as well as some of the less-popular, but certainly no-less fun tabletop games! With that said, GW hasn’t made it easy on the volunteers this year. With points reworks coming every few months and new supplements flying at the shelves faster than ever before, keeping pace with all the updates is definitely a challenge.

If you’ve been watching Battlescribe for a Blood of Baal update for the past few days and began to wonder when it was going to drop, it’s because everyone that plugs values in on Battlescribe was just waiting to get all of the Chapter Approved 2019 updates ready as well. And now, it’s here! Updates including Blood of Baal, Chapter Approved 2019, and even Warhammer Legends.

So How Do You Update?

Sometimes your app might just auto-download the latest version when it asks if you want to check for new data. However, if you pulled up your app and weren’t prompted, you’ll need to go to the Warhammer 40k file and click the three buttons on the right.

Hit Refresh Data and it should repopulate with the latest version. However, if that doesn’t work (i.e it says Error to add file ….) all you have to do it delete your Warhammer 40,000 file entirely, go back into Manage Data and add it back once again.

Then you can be off to plugging your old list back into a new roster and getting to see how much cheaper (or expensive) your list actually got!

You can also sync your lists across different devices too. So it’s even easier to keep all your lists and rules together in one place!

After you’ve seen the updated points, has your list gone up or down in points? Do you use Battlescribe to list-build?
