Blue Blood Angels & Stompy Knights 2020 LVO Army Showcase

Blue Blood Angels and stompy knights 1Taking on a fairly simple Mars-themed display, these models definitely had some serious hobby love thrown in. As far as functionality goes, this is a pretty similar list to what most Knight players run these days. With a cheap Skitarii Battalion and three Knights, this player threw the meta a curveball and brought a supreme command of some Blood Angel characters.

Blue Blood Angels and stompy knights 2Using a mix of what looks to be some Necromunda, Skirarii, and Space Marine bits to make some Smash Captains, they’re definitely one of the more unique models out of the collection.

Blue Blood Angels and stompy knights 3As for this BA Librarian Dread, they spliced a Contemptor body onto some Armiger legs and a force halberd arm. Definitely a step up from the current Libby Dread kit we have.

Blue Blood Angels and stompy knights 4Looking at the Knights, they’ve been loaded down with all kins of detail. From professional-looking Decal placement to battle damage, these walkers could turn heads from tables away.

Blue Blood Angels and stompy knights 5Attention to detail was not spared at all for any of these models. To throw in a twist of even more detail, this hobbyist used some pigments to show the martian dust kicked up on the feet of the Knights. Outstanding work!

What are your thoughts on this army? Have you made your own Libby Dread or do you prefer the official model from GW? What’s been your most unique Smash Captain conversion?
